    The interruption of everything

    December 23, 2020 / No Comments

Life changes in an instant. That fact has never been more clear this year. The amount of loss felt across the world and in our personal lives has brought everyone to their knees. The COVID 19 pandemic has been the interruption of everything. For me you can add assault, cancer, and a stroke to my list of life interruptions. I have had a peeping Tom watch me and masterbate at my window. That experience will change my life forever adding to past trauma of sexual assault, and molestation that had not been dealt with. This topic is heavy and must be discussed in a different post. Then there was cancer.…

    August 16, 2019 / No Comments

Parents are in a full-blown back-to-school preparedness mode. Homeschoolers like myself are not only looking for basic supplies, we are shopping for our curriculums, and teacher supplies too. For parents with kids in ‘traditional’ schools, you might be staring at that supply list with dread. Boy, do I remember those days. I think it’s safe to say every parent or guardian wants to save time and sanity. With these tips, you will save yourself some headache in no time. Learn How To Knit Like A Boss With Bernat Alize EZ

    August 16, 2019 / 1 Comment

When I and many others think of knitting, we often imagine a grandmother in a rocking chair making sweaters and blankets. Well, this is not the kind of knitting I learned from my grandmother as a child. If you haven’t gotten the memo, Millennials have officially hijacked the knitting hobby. Who can blame us? According to experts knitting acts as a natural anti-depressant by easing anxiety, depression and chronic pain. It can also protect the brain from aging. Disclaimer: I received the Bernat Alize EZ yarn to facilitate this review, however words and opinions are my own. Needle-less, pre-looped yarn, and heat-generating yarn is the latest craze in knitting. From…

Angry Birds 2 Celebrates Cultural Diversity, Feminism and Saving Our planet

    August 4, 2019 / No Comments

Last week me and DJ enjoyed a private screening at Sony to see an advanced screening of the Angry Birds 2 movie. On the surface, it is a wildly entertaining movie guaranteed to deliver belly laughs for the whole family. Although for the adults paying attention, the Angry Birds 2 premise teaches our children about climate change and setting aside our differences while embracing equality. Disclaimer: Although I was hosted by Sony to preview this movie, words and opinions are my own. Cultural Diversity If you blink you might miss the nod to Crazy Rich Asians written on a book and ‘Bomb’ holding a pimp cane as he walks out…

    Spider-man Far From Home Review

    June 30, 2019 / No Comments

On Wednesday me and DJ previewed the upcoming Spider-Man Far from Home set to hit theaters this July 2nd. I want to thank Sony for having us out for the New York City preview. So yes folks this is a hosted review but I am gonna keep it real none the less. For anyone seeking inspiration this is a must see. Nick Fury played by Samuel L Jackson inspired hope in a non conventional, tough love kinda way. One of my favorite lines by Nick Fury was “Bitch please, you’ve been to space” as a call to action for Peter Parker when resisting leaving his school trip. This was actually…

Widowed Mom Michelle Williams Winning In Venom Movie

    October 3, 2018 / No Comments

I can’t help myself, every time I see Michelle Williams I feel a sense of comradery. In life she is a widowed Mom living her best life, in her chapter two, and I am here for it. Seeing Michelle in a “super hero” movie is like life imitating art. In Venom Michelle plays Anne Weying who is the woman Venom (played by Tom Hardy) loves. Anne was truly bad ass, running against the crowd in the face of danger to save the day. There was no one better to play one of the bravest characters in Venom than Michelle. I felt pride, and excitement watching her deliver in the perfect on…

    September 10, 2018 / No Comments

Your Reality If your reading this your whole world has turned upside down whether you are the widowed or the support system seeking guidance.  Hours can be spent combing the internet for answers to your “where do I go from here questions” because the majority of people in your life won’t be able to tell you. Healthy Hack: Saint Patrick’s Day Smoothie with BROC SPROUT 2

    March 3, 2018 / No Comments

Looking back at my St. Patrick’s Day Traditions I always get excited this time of year when St. Patrick’s Day comes around. Traditionally my mom invites me over for a cornbeef and cabbage dinner in celebration of my Irish heritage. My dad was the one to pass on the Irish roots to me. Sometimes I meet with friends for drinks or I simply enjoy wine at home. In recent years after becoming a mom I do 1-2 kid friendly activities for St. Patrick’s Day with my son. We love finding shamrock shakes to try because of the taste (the idea behind it can be discussed another day). Sticking to health…
